Today I...April 23rd

Today I...

...was finally able to upload these photos from my walk in Westmount on Wednesday. These lovely houses are what a couple of extra million can get you in Montreal's housing market. Aren't they lovely? They're worth it, trust me. This is a lovely area, very quiet and it backs right into the Oratory, as I mentioned in my Skywatch post from yesterday. But yeah, it'll cost you couple of million.

...had an insane day, even nuttier than yesterday, which I didn't think was was possible. Thank goodness it was Friday! D is gone on vacation, you see, so C and I have to do his work and ours, otherwise the department will grind to a halt until he comes back on May 5th. That's what happens when the coordinator is gone and you have no boss. You have to become the boss along with your colleague and ouch...it's a bit of a rude awakening at first, but we're getting the hang of it.

...went to visit my new place with C after work and I can't wait to move!!! It's even nice than I remembered and so clean and bright and it's not a brick wall I have across from my place, it's the windows from the apartments on the other side of the courtyard! Hooray! I'll show you guys some pictures of my place once I'm in it next week, like the lovely molding along the ceiling and the lovely lights and the beautiful wood accents and the faux fireplace and...well, you get the hang of it. Goodbye run-down apartment, hello apartment that's actually going to be worth the rent I pay for it! Next step: one of these houses ;o)
