Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch feature are these two shots of the split-personality skies above the orchard I went to with my friends last weekend. Actually, these partly blue skies were pretty much the last of the nice weather we saw, because it has been cloudy and rainy all week! I'm looking forward to seeing the blue skies again, I can tell you that!

To see more skies from around the world, you can visit the Skywatch Friday Blog.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a nice, sunny weekend!

Today I...September 29th

Today I...

...am sharing these pictures of the pony that was at the orchard I went to with G two weeks ago. There were all sorts of animals there but this pony and the donkey she shared a pen with were less popular than the others because there was a sign saying that they both bit and to be careful. Well, yeah, they can bite you if you don't know how to feed them properly...I've been around horses for ages though, so I knew how to feed them and got to spend quite bit on one-on-one time with this sweet pony. It made my day :o)

...had another fairly busy day at work and found that the week seemed to be dragging by. It's probably because of the weather which has been pretty dreary in Montreal this week.

...went grocery shopping after work and ended up having to take my food home on an overcrowded bus. The service on my line has been beefed up since the beginning of the month, so I had thankfully nearly forgotten what it was like to have to ride on a packed bus and didn't enjoy the reminder too much. I guess maybe an earlier bus had broken down and that's why there were so many people on board.

Today I...September 28th

Today I...

...am sharing these picture of some of the apples that my friends and I picked on Saturday. The top two were picked by S (on the left) and G (on the right) and won the prize for the two biggest apples on the day, S's apple being the biggest and G's coming a close second. The one below was picked by me and won the 'cruelty to apple trees prize...yup, I sure did feel bad for taking what felt like half the tree with me when I came away with that apple...It never fails, even though I am known for being a very gentle, delicate soul (it's nearly a fault in my case...) I damage at least one apple tree a year, it never fails.

...wasn't quite as busy at work as I was yesterday, but not far off. With Brother André's Canonization just around the corner (two and a half weeks and counting) the phones are ringing more and more and more and more groups are coming. I won't be going to Rome after all by the way, I'll be staying at the Oratory and helping to run the show from there.

...was supposed to give a tour from 4:00 to 5:30, but the group was late and only shower up at 4:30 and then asked for a half hour tour before bumping it up to 45 minutes after I told them that all they would get in a half hour was a flying visit of the first floor while I took them up to the Basilica and sat them there to give them a brief history of the Oratory for about 15 minutes before bringing them back down. At least with 45 minutes I was able to give them a pretty complete tour of the first floor and the Basilica.

...was so thankful to my colleague D for taking the time to drive me home when the weather at the end of my shift was distinctly monsoon-like.

...washed a pile of dishes while talking on the phone with my grandma B. I never really realize how much is in there until I have trouble finding the bottom of the sink while washing, especially when it comes to the utensils!!!

...was hoping to talk with my Sweetheart, but he wasn't on Skype tonight. I suspect that he may have thrown in the towel and gone to bed early because his weekends have been so packed recently. He's had guests over two weekends in a row and he's coming to Montreal this weekend and then the following weekend I'm going to see him. So yeah, his going to bed early? I'm all for it...the last thing I want is for him to get way too tired and catch a cold or something just in time for my visit! I'll try and catch him on Skype tomorrow is all, I can wait until then :o)

Today I... September 26th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of the apple orchard I was at with my friends yesterday. We had a lovely time picking apples, going out to dinner and then ending the evening in a...sex toy shop. Yeah, that part wasn't planned. We ended up there because the two guys ended up challenging each other over the existence of a particular kind of toy and also because I confessed to being very nearly a sex toy shop virgin. So we went to a big store and my friends insisted on my seeing everything in there. Hoo boy...yeah, it was good for laughs more than anything else!

...had a more relaxed day, which was fine by me because I was so busy last weekend and then I was out all day yesterday! So staying home and doing laundry and catching up on my cleaning felt nice :o)

...got a nice, long walk in when I went out to buy cereal, cleanser for my face and canned cat food.

...spoke with one of my mom's friends and arranged things so that she will be able to come and visit my cats and feed them while I'm away for Thanksgiving weekend.

...spoke with my Sweetheart for a little bit, but he was in a bit of a hurry to get some things done because a couple he was friends with while he was on exchange in Toulouse, France for six months right before we met were stopping in for the night before heading on to Niagara Falls tomorrow and he was running late. That's okay, I'll talk to him later this week. We're due for a good chat though, we've both been so busy lately that we've only been talking for a few minutes (meaning less than a half hour) here and there!

Today I...September 24th

Today I...

...am sharing this shot of some jars of honey that were for sale in the café at the orchard I went to with G last week. I'm looking forward to heading out to another orchard tomorrow with G and some other friends as well! My other friends and I have been going to orchard every year for three years now and I'm looking forward to G seeing it for the first time!

...had a fairly busy day at work.

...gave a tour to a group from a Polish laddies association from Toronto. My Sweetheart was glad to see that I had survived it, he for some reason thought that Polish ladies would be harder to handle than an average tour group, but when you've been in the business of giving tours at the Oratory (or anywhere for that matter) as long as I have, very little phases you anymore.

...realized that I'm going to be operating on a pretty tight budget for the next two weeks. It sucks when your rent has to be paid right between two pay periods. Oh well, at least Hydro and Gas don't need to be paid until next month, that'll take some of the sting out of the 1st of the month.

...finished one book and am looking forward to starting a new one later!

...am looking forward to watching the season premiere of CSI New York!

...am hoping you all have a lovely weekend :o)

Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch Friday feature is a shot of one of the Tall Ships that visited the Old Port of Montreal this past weekend towering above the crowd of people there to see it and the five other ships like it under a beautiful, blue sky.

To see more pictures of skies from around the world, you can head over to the Skywatch Friday blog. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Today I...September 22nd

Today I...

...am sharing this photo of a crew member climbing of the mast of one of the Tall Ships that were in the Old Port in Montreal this past weekend with you.

...had another busy day at work.

...gave a tour even though I wasn't scheduled for one. A booking got lost in the shuffle on D's desk and a group of elderly people from a long-term care facility were left without a guide, so off I went.

...did some research on natural remedies for fibroids. I was diagnosed with one after an ultrasound last week and was happy to find out that there are natural ways to lessen their effects and even shrink them. I went to a natural food and remedy store after work and bought something to help regulate my hormones which will hopefully do the trick for me, along with stopping the use of soy milk.

...was thrilled when the gun registry was upheld after a very, very close vote. I just wish Prime Minister Harper would let the issue drop now and leave the registry alone. It was brought into being as a result of a shooting spree at the École Polytechnique de Montréal back in 1989 when a young man walked into the school and shot and killed 14 women and wounded many others using an assault riffle and I don't understand how anyone could want it abolished knowing where it came from and what that it is helping prevent similar events from unfolding again.

Today I...September 21st

Today I...

...am sharing this trailer for a documentary made by a French Canadian Catholic television network about Brother André with you. Yes, it's mostly in french, but the music and video footage are lovely on their own :o)

...was very nearly late for work when my bus got stuck in traffic before making it to my stop.

...gave a tour to a group of pilgrims from the US and they very much enjoyed it, which is always nice.

...had a bunch of phone calls to make and a mail out to do and forgot to do my data entry in the process. Oops...oh well, no tours tomorrow, so I'll be able to catch up no problem!

...burnt the knuckle of my pointer finger on my right hand in the toaster over while taking my ciabatta slices out at lunch, ouch...

...went to buy milk after worked and then walked home.

...had a nice long bath and treated myself to a self-administered facial.

...spoke with my Sweetheart on Skype for over a half hour and was happy to hear that he had such a nice time with his three best friends from his days as a chorister at the Oratory.

...planned to go and visit my Sweetheart and my family in Toronto for Thanksgiving, hooray :oD I've been very stressed lately, so a lovely weekend like that will be just what I need before getting caught up in the tidal wave that will be Brother André's Canonization.

Busy, busy, busy...

Hello all!

Just a small note to say that while over the past two weekends I ended up being quite bored and much too alone for my own good, this weekend I am very, very busy. As you can see by these two pictures, I went to two completely different places yesterday: at the beginning of the afternoon I headed out to an apple orchard to the West of Montreal with my friend G and then at the end of the day she dropped me off at a metro (subway) station and I headed to the old port to see six huge sailboats, including the one they used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, in Old Montreal. I was home at 7:00, took the time to have a bath and eat dinner and feed my little zoo, turned around and went back out the door to G's and her boyfriend's housewarming party and didn't get home until 1:10 in the morning. Today I slept in until 10:30 and am taking it easy for a bit before I have to leave at 12:45 for a 2:15 appointment in the West Island, then I'm going to visit my mom and then I'm heading to my Aunt and Uncle's for my father's birthday party. Phew!!! With all of this going on, I knew there was no chance I would be able to keep up with my regular blogging schedule, so I at least wanted to give you guys a little something instead of leaving you post-less until Tuesday (Monday night choir practice will often pre-empt my Monday posts).

So there you have it, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and I'll be back with you on Tuesday!

Today I...September 17th

Today I...

...am sharing this ducky picture with you! I took it in Mount Royal park the same day that I took yesterday's Skywatch Friday picture :o)

...had a pretty long day despite the fact that I only worked a half day.

...had to complete the schedule for next week and distribute it because D wasn't able to come in.

...left work at 1:00 because I had to go to the hospital for a routine test.

...waited for my test...and waited and waited and waited!!! I got in at 1:20 P.M. and left the hospital a bit after 4:00 P.M. ugh!!! Oh well, at least I had my book to read.

...went grocery shopping after work.

...am so glad it's Friday because I am so, so tired, I've had quite the week!

Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch Friday feature is a shot of the rather moody sky that I went for a walk under two weekends ago. I got caught in two heavy rain showers while walking without an umbrella, but that's just part of risking going out for a walk in Montreal in early fall! You can get caught in the rain even on a day when they aren't announcing rain!

To see more skies from around the world, you can check out the Skywatch Friday blog.

Have a great weekend!

Today I...September 15th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of corn stalks blowing in the wind with you. I really enjoy taking pictures of windblown things, because I love the wind so much as a general rule. Nothing helps me get to sleep like listening to the wind blowing outside my bedroom window, except maybe for chamomile :o)

...was pretty busy at work again, although not quite as much as yesterday.

...went to dinner with my friend V. We tried a new sushi place which we will more than likely not go to again. The sushi was good, but the service was horrendous! We had three different waiters within the hour and a half that we were there and they only brought V's entree as we were leaving after she had gone to tell the manager that she didn't want it anymore because it was taking too long and to take it off of her bill!

...went to Indigo books meaning to buy one book, but came out of there with three books. I also ended up having to renew my iRewards card, which cost me 25$, but I ended up getting 20% my purchase thanks to that, plus another 20% off because of coupons so it didn't come out that much more expensive than it would have had I just bought the books.

...bought my dad a birthday card that is sure to garner some serious laughs at his birthday dinner on Sunday night :o)

...spoke with my Sweetheart for nearly an hour, Sweet bliss :o)

Today I...September 14th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture that I took of an alley in Old Montreal last Winter.

...had a pretty busy day at work, which started off with an hour an almost two hour meeting with our new boss. None of us expected it to last that long.

...went to lunch right after the meeting.

...had five messages on my phone when I got back.

...was happy when the rain stopped in time for me to walk home.

...spoke with my Sweetheart for a half hour and was so happy. We're still both connected to Skype to keep one another company.

Today I...September 12th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture I took two years while at an orchard that I go apple picking at with some of my friends every fall. I changed it to black and white because of the clouds, i though it would make them come out more.

...had a very quiet day.

...talked with my Sweetheart this morning.

...did my laundry.

...vacuumed.

...read my book.

...ate my dinner too late and am now going to go for a walk to help it go down before I go to bed. No worries, I live in a good neighborhood ;o)

Today I...September 11th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture I took in St.Peter's Basilica in Rome when I was there with my Sweetheart back in June of 2006. I'll be back there in about a month.

...went to an information session for the group escorts of the pilgrimage to Rome for Bother André's canonization. It was okay, but nothing more than that. I didn't learn much that I didn't know, but did find out that I'm going to be dead on my feet by the time I get back home. We're going to have to get up at inhumane hours, at least for those of us who aren't early birds with jet-lag in our systems to boot. It's a good thing I'll have three days to recover when I get back, but I'm also going to take several days off in November before the really busy Christmas season comes along.

...think that I will still probably have a good time on my trip, but it's a good thing I won't have to spend more than five days being a group escort because I don't think I could cut it.

...am going to tell my Sweetheart that he was darn right when he told me that I will be a group escort this one time and will more than likely never want to do it again.

...was horrified at the size of the group escort t-shirts they gave us. They were all either large or extra large! Mine is a large and it's so big it could fit both my sweetheart and I plus a third person!!! To give you an idea I'm 5'2'' and he's 6'1'' and I weigh 124 and he must weigh 135, maybe 140 (he's very slim and has lots of muscle). So yeah, the t-shirt is massive and I ended up gathering it up in the back and tying it with a hair elastic I had in my purse so that it would look halfway decent. I'm putting it in the wash tomorrow and throwing it in the dryer and hopefully it'll shrink, like a lot. If it doesn't, I may take it to my grandma G, who is a brilliant seamstress, to see if she can help me make it look decent.

...slammed my living room windows shut in frustration over the racket my upstairs neighbors were making. There's no way they didn't hear me, but the don't seem to care. Hopefully they won't keep it up too late, because I'm kind of looking forward to a bit of an early night to help me get over the horrible migraine I had for about 20 hours from about 6:00 P.M. yesterday to the end of the afternoon.

...am planning on having a pretty quiet day tomorrow.

Friday, September 10, 2010

Today I...September 10th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture the Fall colors at Niagara Falls when I was there over Thanksgiving two years ago. It was strange seeing colored leaves there because it was actually 27 degrees that day! Everyone had been telling me how cold it would be at the falls because of the mist and everything and there I was standing around in jeans and long sleeves sweating up a storm!

...was without network and internet access at work along with every other employee at the Oratory all morning. There was a two second power cut at the end of the day yesterday and *poof!* the server blew. We couldn't believe something so slight could cause so much havoc!

...found out that my former boss (I worked for a different department at the Oratory very briefly in 2008), JC, who I am very fond of, will be in Rome for Brother Andre's Canonization as well! It feels good knowing that a 'boss' will be there, someone that all us group leaders can turn to in case of a problem, especially a good friend like him.

...got my new iPod, yay! I tried him out and love him and now have him fully charged! I'll try and get some music onto him later on tonight, even though I will mostly use him to listen to the radio. Ooh, and he has a pedometer! That's big fun for me too since I enjoy walking so much, it'll be fun to see how many steps I take a day and how many calories I burn doing it!

...got a surprise visit from my Grandma G at work. She called to see if I was there and heard from C that I was away from my desk but would be back soon, so she hopped on a bus and came to see me and bring me a ring that she had fixed for me (the amethyst fell out of it). I showed her my new office that she had never seen before and we ended up spending about a half hour together and I walked back to the bus stop with her on my way to get lunch. It was a lot of fun having her come see me and she enjoyed meeting a few of my colleagues.

...have had a migraine since just after I got home, which kind of sucks. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep it off.

Brother André's Canonization

Today I...September 8th

Today I...

...am sharing the Youtube video of the ad for Brother Andre's Canonization with you. You can see it in my previous post by clicking on the title of my blog, in case you got here through a direct link to his current post.

...was a very popular girl at work, on the phone at least. I got enough calls to make up for all the calls I didn't get Monday and Tuesday lol

...walked both to the metro this morning and home from work this afternoon.

...couldn't get over the fact that the herd of people waiting for the bus at the bus stop on the corner of my street kept standing there even after I told them that the bus stop had been moved to the boulevard South of us because of construction. There was even a sign on the bus stop post saying so, clear as day! Jeeze...

...compulsively checked the UPS site to see where my iPod Nano was at. Last I saw, it was taking off from Anchorage, Alaska. I'll have to check again soon since it left from there over four hours ago. If it was being flown from the West Coast to the East Coast, it must be there by now.

...spoke with my Sweetheart for a half hour and we just exchanged a few written messages on Skype. It felt nice to talk to him again, I hadn't heard his voice in a week! He's feeling a bit down though because some at his workplace got fired. His office is very small, so when someone goes, everyone feels it. There are only twelve of them in all!

...still have to iron my blouse for tomorrow, make tuna salad for my lunch and feed my critters before going to bed, so I had better scat!

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Today I...September 7th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of people enjoying a windy day in Montreal's Mount-Royal park. I took it this past Sunday and if you click on it to enlarge it, you'll be able to get a better view of the kites, one in the air and one that some children are holding. They tried very hard to get it in the air for about 15 minutes while I stood there snapping away, but never quite managed it since they had too much line out and couldn't run enough to get it off the ground.

...had a slightly busier day at work, but not much. We're in the early fall slump, but it probably won't last nearly as long as usual since Brother Andre's Canonization is coming up.

...was happy to see my brother so excited to be back at work, he was starting his new job today. He told me that his first day was kind of boring though, since he spent most of it waiting for his new laptop and couldn't do much without it. He did get roped into joining an NFL pool though, which got him socializing with his new coworkers.

...am listening to the Oratory's Boys' Choir, Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, sing Carmina Burana on CBC Radio's Espace Musique. They're live at Place des Arts tonight and Sunday and my colleague C's son is singing with them. They're doing a brilliant job so far, which I'm not surprised about since they're generally a very disciplined and very talented group.

...am also listening to a storm roll in.

...had a kir (mix of white wine and black current liqueur) after dinner and am feeling a bit of a buzz, but in a good way :o)

Monday, September 6, 2010

Today I...September 6th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of a light house in the Toronto Islands park with you.

...had a very slow day at work, despite the fact that there were a whole lot of people on the site this afternoon. But what can I say? When the phone doesn't ring, the phone doesn't ring.

...went out to dinner with a bunch of colleagues after work.

...enjoyed getting home around 7:15 having already eaten. I was able to clean the litter box, have a shower and relax in front of the TV and I'll definitely be able to make it to bed a bit earlier than usual!

...am watching a documentary on the Documentary Channel called 'Scared of My Shadow'. It's all about how the media is harvesting fear in the population, meaning that disasters, abductions, violent crime and terrorism is far less common than we believe, but the media and television networks get high ratings from sensationalist stories and shows and that if we shelter ourselves and our children from everything, they and we will be seriously lacking self confidence, coping mechanisms and defense mechanisms to deal with eventual problems. Very much so, I would have to say...If I compare myself and my brother and my Sweetheart and my cousins with other people I know, we're a lot more daring than others. Moral of the story: the fear of something is often far greater than the actual thing!!! Think H1N1, among other things.

Today I...September 5th

Today I...

...am sharing one of the shots I took of Downtown Toronto from Center Island, one of the Islands across from the city.

...slept in until 10:30 again, but I got to sleep pretty late last night after watching a movie and then being kept awake by my apartment door rattling against its frame because of the wind. I ended up getting up and putting my vacuum against it to solve the problem.

...was hoping to go out with a friend, but no one was free.

...ended up heading Downtown by myself and walking all the way from Guy metro, up and over the mountain and most of the way back home. I make a trek like that about 4-5 times a year, weather and time permitting and always have my camera in tow. I had it today and took some pictures, so I'll try and get some on here at some point this week.

...am having a bit of a quiet evening and am planning on making it into bed early so I can read my book for a while.

...am thinking about my Sweetheart a lot. His family is visiting for the long weekend and I'm hoping they're having a good time together.

Saturday, September 4, 2010

Today I...September 4th

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of the many, many geese and seagulls that had congregated in the Toronto Islands park near the Center Island ferry landing on Saturday of last week. I took this shot of them from by the lake, but my Sweetheart felt the need to get closer to them to get his shot and one of the geese was fairly unhappy about that and started squawking at him 'Uh oh, look out honey, that one doesn't look too happy!' 'Don't worry, it's all good!' he called back. And since he was standing still to take his picture and we walked off to take the ferry after, it was. I was a bit worried that the aggressive Canada Goose was going to run after him and try to peck him though! I guess that he might have seen one too many tourists that day!

...slept in until 10:30 A.M. and it felt lovely.

...went to lunch with my mom and my brother. The food was great, we had a fun time, but MAN was our waiter SLOW!

...went to the mall with my brother after lunch. I was hoping to see the Montreal Canadiens' former goaltender Jaroslav Halak, our hero from last season's playoffs who, in my opinion and in the opinion of many, was treated most unfairly by the team when he was traded to the St-Louis Blues back in June. Apparently he would have cost too much to keep though. Hmph, I'm not forgiving the Habs' management for that move anytime soon, but I digress. So yes, I was hoping to see my favorite Hab after having bought a Canadiens' teddy bear from my dad for his birthday from the Build-A-Bear Workshop, but the lineup to meet him went from the Capsule Sportive store at the southern end of the mall all the way back to the northern end, out the door and all along the western wall to the back side of The Bay!!! Here's a link to the floor plans of the mall so you can see what I'm talking about. It would have been a pretty heft wait and all my brother needed was two pairs of pants and it took him all of a half hour to buy them plus a tie and have the pants shortened, so I gave up on the idea of having the teddy bear's polar signed by Jaroslav in favor of getting ride home since it was raining on and off and I have left my place without my umbrella.

...did my vacuuming, washed the bathroom and washed the sheets and towels.

...had a bath and lost track of the time while I was in there twice, so my grandma had to call me back twice before we could engage in a almost nightly chat. Sorry grandma...

...splurged on myself big time and pre-ordered a new iPod Nano. I already have a touch, but the one thing I always found it to be sorely lacking was FM radio, which my new little Nano will have. He will be most convenient for my walks home and my Touch will still be my staple for train trips and wifi, so I will cart both of them around. The Nano will take so little room though that it won't be any trouble at all having both of my iPods in my purse. Now the big question: could I afford this splurge? Yes and no. My credit card bill is higher than it has been in ages and it will take me two months to pay it off (at least), but I purchased the Nano through the Via Preference store and I got one Preference point for each dollar I spent (159 in all) plus 25 bonus points for every 50$ as part of their back to school special (150 points). That's 309 point in all plus the 728 I already had, so I now have 1039 Preference points, nearly enough for a free trip to see my Sweetheart in Toronto, or enough to get there halfway for free. So my credit card bill is high right now, but I will be saving on my next trip to see my Sweetheart so it balances out a bit...kind of. It helps me feel less guilty about spending so much on myself anyhow.

...am off to fee my critters and watch a movie.

Today I...September 3rd

Today I...

...am sharing this picture of a rather fascinating phenomenon that my Sweetheart and I came across while walking on the Toronto Islands last Saturday: a tree growing out the middle of the trunk of another tree! And not the same kind of tree, a totally different kind of tree!

...was kind of busy at work with a whole bunch of different things that popped up out of nowhere. I kept thinking that I was done what I had to do and then I would realize that there was something else that needed to be done.

...took my two breaks back to back at the end of the day for the second day in a row and it felt lovely.

...was so happy it was Friday because I've been pretty tired this week. Long live the weekend!!!

Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch photo is a shot that I took on Toronto's Center Island last weekend while visiting my Sweetheart. That's Lake Ontario, by the way, not the ocean, although Lake Ontario has often posed as the ocean in movies and television series such as Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea.

To see more Skywatch photos from around the world, you can head on over to the Skywatch Friday blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Today I...September 1st

Today I...

...am sharing this picture I took on Center Island, one of the Toronto Islands, on Saturday of three ducks who look an awful lot like their goal for the day was to watch that sail boat go by!

...am feeling better than yesterday, I'm not nearly as tired as I was. A migraine+chamomile=the perfect recipe for a very sound nights sleep!

...was three minutes late to work due to nasty traffic. I'm either going to have to start leaving my apartment earlier or walk to the subway and past the traffic getting onto the highway in order to make it on time I think.

...was on the phone so much at work that my ear was sore by the end of the day.

...am hoping to talk with my Sweetheart tonight, but he doesn't seem to be in front of his computer. Better luck tomorrow? It's only 9:15 though, he still has time to pop on. ...got a look at the new line of iPods and am coveting the little iPod Nano.

...am very much enjoying the book I bought at the Chapters next door to my Sweetheart's place on Friday, 'The Day the Falls Stood Still' by Cathy Marie Buchanan. Give it a try if you're looking for something good to read!
