Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch photo is a shot of the beautiful sunset I was treated to on my first evening in Prince Edward Island. I drove all the way to Cavendish Beach that first evening. I landed at 6:00 P.M. and was on the beach by 8:00 P.M. It was very windy and rather chilly and my feet froze so badly after I put them in the water that they didn't feel warm again until 3:00 A.M., but I honestly didn't care. The sunset, the sound of the waves and the sea air made it all more than worth a set of frozen toes :o)

Since I posted about my possible trip to Hawaii yesterday, I thought that I would give this week's Skywatch post a warm touch by sharing this Floridian Sunset with you all. It was taken on my last trip to Florida before my grandparents moved from there to South Carolina.

This week's Skywatch feature is a photo I took at sunset on the golf course in my grandparents' community in Aiken, South Carolina. My grandfather and I stood out on the golf course for a good half hour taking pictures there one evening, it was lots of fun and quite productive too :o)

Skywatch Friday

Greetings from South Carolina! I've been vacationing here at my grandparents' place for nearly a week a have fallen under this beautiful state's Old Southern charm. The people here are incredibly friendly, I could hardly get over it! And as for the skies...these photos barely do them justice :o) The one above was taken at sunset on Monday and the one below was taken at Hopelands Gardens on Sunday through the wrought iron canopy of a tiny garden pavilion. I have gathered enough Skywatch images on this trip to last me a while, so expect to see more fairly regularly :o)

In the spirit of my Southern Vacation, here's a picture I took at sunset on the golf course my grandparents live on in Florida. Their entire community is built around two 18-hole golf courses with, as you can see, a lot of lakes a and trees which make for very nice pictures :o)
