Skywatch Friday

This week's Skywatch photo is a shot I took in the Distillery District when my Sweetheart brought me to visit it this past Monday before I got on the train to come home. It was the last place left on my list of places I wanted to visit in Toronto while my Sweetheart was on his two-year contract there and I must say that it was a nice end to my last weekend there before he moves home. I loved the red brick buildings and the red brick streets and the trendy little boutiques there, I was just sorry that it was such a tiny little district, especially when compared with Old Montreal! The only things that would have made the visit there better? Sunny skies, warmer weather and more time so we could have had a hot chocolate at the Soma chocolate shop :o)

Have a nice weekend and thanks for stopping by!

  2. Even though you say the district is small, it looks as though a lot of people find it an enjoyable place to stroll.

    SKY-SEEKERS

    The sky-seekers, some people say,
    Do not favor night over day;
    They always look up,
    The sky is their cup,
    And keeping it full’s their cachet!

  4. The red-brick street is wonderful, Karine!
    I looked up the Distillery District on Google Maps because we're going to be meeting a friend in Toronto next month on our way to Europe, but it looks like it wouldn't be easy to get there from the airport using public transportation.
    Too bad, because it does look interesting!
