Skywatch Friday

Hi all!

So, it's already time for another Skywatch post! Here's another shot that I took during my vacation in BC. What you can see in this picture is the Rocky Mountains in North Vancouver taken from the pedestrian walkway on Lion's Gate Bridge. I took this picture just as the sun was setting. I turned around and there were the mountains with this mist hanging over them and the sky was turning this gorgeous mix of pink and lavender, it truly was one of the most beautiful sights I had ever seen. Coming from Eastern Canada I had never seen such huge mountains before (except the Alps, but that was from a plane, so it doesn't count ;o) ) so I took zillions of pictures of them while I was in Vancouver, expect to see more :o)

So there's my Skywatch post for this week, I hope you enjoyed and be sure to go and check out all my fellow Skywatchers' posts here:

I hope you all had a great week and that you enjoy your weekend!

  1. Thought this was Lions Gate before I read your text, don't ask me, I felt it in my guts.

Anyway, this is wonderfully cropped and composed.

  2. Great perspective, I love it.

    Have a great weekend

  3. perfect one for sky watch! God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be..... Mine's up too hope you can drop by... Have a great weekend!

  4. Especially when enlarged the light fixture, bridge cables and mountains mixed with cloudy dusky skiy really makes a very nice picture.

  5. What a great shot. Most of can only dream of getting to see the mountains. The colors are beautiful. =)

  6. I like your streetlamp better than mine ;)
Yours has a more Victorian flare and bigger mountains on which to shine!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend ~Maria

  7. Great photo...The haze makes it seem mysterious :) Have a great weekend...
